World baseball classic - behind the flag
The short film series “Behind The Flag,” was created to tell the stories of teams who would go on to compete in the 2023 World Baseball Classic. MLB’s Creative Studio went on location to produce this series in Czech Republic, Mexico, and Italy to get people excited about watching the tournament. The series earned more than 5 million views across platforms and sparked editorial coverage from The New York Times, ESPN, and The Japan Times. Additional coverage of Czech Republic led Shohei Ohtani to wear a Czech Republic hat. After the video of him in the hat went viral, Czech hats sold out.
